Baltic+ 2026 Training Course for Forecasters

This course will focus on warm season frontal precipitation on the wider Baltic region. You will will enhance the skills in:

• Identifying the frontal systems using satellite images;
• Using satellite soundings for monitoring the temperature and moisture structures within the fronts;  
• Using satellite derived precipitation products for frontal cases;
• Effective use of radar for detecting precipitation;
• Skills in using NWP guidance for precipitation forecasts.
