In this interactive course, learners will explore how satellite-derived products and forecast guidance can be combined to assess wildfire risk, identify fire-prone conditions, and support operational decision-making.
Throughout realistic scenarios, participants will work with:
- Fire Risk Maps
- MTG True Color RGB imagery
- Fire Radiative Power (FRP)
- MTG Lightning Imager (LI) observations
- Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) guidance
Learners will apply these datasets to assess evolving fire danger, anticipate ignition risks, monitor smoke behaviour, and provide effective decision support to stakeholders and emergency response services.
