Thank you for participating in Creating Effective Multiple-Choice Questions session. Nine participants attended the live session; they discussed advanced tips for writing effective multiple-choice questions, strategies for the analysis of question statistics, and ideas for discouraging academic dishonesty in online assessment. A series of questions in Moodle’s Choice tool provided the starting points for the discussions.
In the weeks after the live session, participants engaged in two question-writing and question-analytics challenges. Additionally, a profound conversation ensued in the course's discussion boards concerning the role of written assessment in obtaining a picture of a person’s competencies.
