Welcome to the 2025 Multi-sensor Ocean Colour course (MSOC). This event, an IOCCG and Copernicus supported activity, will be hosted at, and coordinated by, EUMETSAT in collaboration with NASA and the European Space Agency. During this 5-day course we will cover a range of topics that are central working with ocean colour data from space, including data access, atmospheric correction, algorithm selection and validation. Beginning with introductions to three single-sensor approaches (Copernicus Sentinel-3 OLCI, NASA PACE OCI, Copernicus Sentinel-2 MSI), we will advance through the course with the goal of moving towards discussions on multi-sensor interoperability and synergy. We will introduce practical examples throughout, providing tools and expertise that will support your own individual workflows and interests after the course.

We aim to create a sociable, welcoming environment where participants are free to share ideas and discuss topics freely. Consequently, we expect you to be constructive in your feedback, considerate in your treatment of your fellow participants and open to collaboration during this course. We are really looking forward to meeting you all, to hearing about your backgrounds and ideas, and to seeing how the resources we provide can be used to support your work!

If this is your first time visiting this course page, we strongly encourage you to check the course announcements and visit the introductory modules to learn more about the course guidecourse trainers, and course communications.
