  • Day 1 will give a broad introduction to the course, present the value of ocean colour, introduce participants to the key data streams they will work on and kick off group project assignment and exploration.


    Learning objectives

    By the end of day 1 you should:

    • Be familiar with the construction and scope of the course, and the tools we will use
    • Appreciate the value of ocean colour and understand what data sources are available, and their trade-offs
    • Be up to date with the current capabilities and available products for the single sensor products in scope
    • Understand how to access, download and work with this data
    • Have established a project group and begun investigation of your region of interest (ROI)
