The Baltic+ course is a joint initiative of the National Meteorological Services of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland, who join forces in order to increase the knowledge in skills in the use of satellite observation data and to create a platform for exchanging ideas, applications and knowledge.
The core topics at the course will be: use of satellite applications and products as well as integration satellite and NWP information through conceptual models to monitor and understand non-frontal weather features in the cold air-mass; communication between different meteorological services, the media and the general public.
The online phase of the course will take place 19 February - 9 March 2018, followed by a classroom phase 20-22 March 2018.
