The Baltic+ course is a joint initiative of the National Meteorological Services of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland, who join forces in order to increase the knowledge in skills in the use of satellite observation data and to create a platform for exchanging ideas, applications and knowledge.
The core topics at the course are the use of satellite applications and products for monitoring heavy precipitation cases in Baltic Sea region; the Integration of satellite and NWP data in heavy precipitation conditions caused by the Sea and land interaction, as well as how to communicate the information to the governmental institutions, to the media and to the general public.
The online phase of the course will take place 18 February - 8 March 2019, followed by a classroom phase 19-21 March 2019.
