This online course will focus on the cold season weather. Topics of the course include the typical challenges forecasters need to deal with during the cold season: the type of cloudiness, the types of precipitation - rain, snow, freezing rain, and their impacts on people and property. An essential part of the course is to work on case studies that help you to refresh your skills in using the satellite and other products when preparing for winter.
The Baltic+ course is a joint initiative of the National Meteorological Services of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland, who join forces in order to increase the knowledge in skills in the use of satellite observation data and to create a platform for exchanging ideas, applications and knowledge.
