    Register here for this short course on 8 Oct. 2024, 08:00 - 10:00 UTC

    This short course on MTG-I1 Flexible Combined Imager (FCI) continues the series of short courses on the MTG data and applications. FCI is the next-generation instrument continuing the mission of MSG SEVIRI in monitoring weather, earth’s surface and oceans from geostationary orbit.
    The event will start at 08:00 UTC and last about 2 hours. It will offer an insight into the FCI instrument, acquisition of data, products and applications. Participants will also get to see how the images are applied in the analysis of various weather and surface features, based on real examples.

    After the course, participants will be able to:

    • Learn about the details of the FCI instrument and understand what the instrument measures;
    • Get insight in the way data is acquired and visualised;
    • Know what the images show in different real weather situations;
    • Understand how the images are used for different applications.
