In today's ever-evolving landscape of meteorology and education, the CALMet Conference continues to be a beacon of excellence. CALMet XV Conference was hosted by the German Weather Service in 2023 in a fully virtual format.

The conference was focused around the following themes:

• Supporting Satellite Meteorology Training

• Inspiration for Training Sessions

• Fostering Collaboration with Communities

• Supporting Training for Meteorological Professionals

• Supporting the Training for Other Professionals and the Public

• Educational Tools: Experiences, Best Practices, and Lessons Learned

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Training and Professional Development

CALMet XIV was hosted by Servicio Meteorológico Nacional and was supposed to take place at SMN in Argentina. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic and the worldwide travel restriction threw a spanner in the works, and this conference was organized in a fully virtual environment with a 'flipped-learning' approach.

CALMet XIII conference was organised jointy by EUMETCAL Programme and EUMETSAT. The conference worked on best practices in training for the meteorological, hydrological, and climate workforce. This joint conference and workshop offered learning and networking opportunities for all participants and institutions in the CALMet community.

The themes for CALMet 2019 were:

• Training challenges and opportunities
• Teaching and learning
• Collaboration

CALMet Online is your window to the meteorological training world and your boarding pass to free online training events lead by experts in education and training for meteorology, hydrology and related disciplines.

In 2016, CALMet online event was hosted by the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and consisted of a series of online presentations and plenty of opportunities to meet, share ideas, techniques and tools for learning meteorology and related sciences.

In 2018, we continue the CALMet Online activity by informing the CALMeters of interesting online sessions that are arranged within the community.If you are an existing CALMet user from 2016, you are automatically subscribed to these notifications. If you are a new user and wish to join the notification list, please read the information below.

HOW TO JOIN?

• If you are a new user of the Training Zone, create an account and enroll for the event.
• If you already have an account on the Training Zone, log in and enroll for the event.

Registered users will be able to subscribe to forums of interest, actively participate and engage in the online community and stay up-to-date with the community’s news.
