CALMet Online first week included two live meetings on Monday 23 and Thursday 26 May.
On Monday 23 we discussed and demonstrated active learning strategies for live sessions. We would like to thank Luciane Veeck (WMO-VLab), Moira Doyle (UBA) and Ayelen Martinez (INAP for their facilitation! We had over 40 users connecting to these live sessions.
On Thursday Bernie Connell (CIRA) and Mike Davison (NOAA) shared their Regional Focus Group Discussion and monthly weather briefing with nearly 40 users. Mike went through the various weather and climate patterns over a large region covering Pacific, Americas, Atlantic Ocean and even West Africa. Bernie and Mike demonstrated how such a briefing is powerful tool to learn more just by viewing and sharing the current weather patterns on charts.

An early reminder that the next CALMet Online session will be in June on GAMIFICATION , led by Brad Snyder (EC/Meteorological Service of Canada) and Tsvetomir Ross-Lazarov ( COMET, USA). Their session will also include a live interaction scheduled for 22 June. Brad and Tsvet will come up with more information later.
