Dear participants,
it is a great pleasure to see such a large gathering of colleagues from all around African continent taking part in this year edition of basic satellite image interpretation course. Our course will be bigger than ever before. I hope this course will help everyone, including the early career meteorologists and students, to gain more skills in using satellite imagery in operational meteorology.
Our course begins officially today and will last for three weeks. As we are a large group, we will focus our communication mostly via this course forum. You will by default receive each post in this forum to your email as well. If you wish to reduce the amount of emails, you can view the guidance at Course guide on how to manage the email copies.
Today, our first live webinar will take place. You will see the joining instructions at the course website. I also copy the meeting link at the bottom of this page. Remember, the session begins at 09:00 UTC. In the session, we will introduce you the course basic content and the essentials of the course website. Your instructors will also introduce themselves. You will also have a chance to raise any questions you have in your mind about the course.
We wish you a successful course.
On behalf of the instructor team,
