Summary of your feedback for Week 1

Dear participants,

big thanks for your feedback on week 1. We asked whether you had had any technical problems, and an overwhelming majority had had no problems technically whatsoever. This is really a breakthrough to know that internet access is indeed improving everywhere, and you know how to tackle the problems.

Secondly, we asked what you had liked the most. Many were thankful to Ms Scholastic for sharing her knowledge with everyone in a clear and concise way. Generally, the openness and willingness and friendliness to share knowledge here between all of us was appreciated. People also liked the Padlet map to actually see where everybody is coming from (attached is the current map). Smooth progress of the course appreciated.

On the improvement side, some wished for more online sessions, and even longer sessions. Recordings were wished to contain also the Questions and Answers session. We may consider , if not recording , at least capturing and making available the Questions and Answers. The choice to keep recording shorter is to reduce the recording file sizes.

Finally, it is appreciated that the instructors will go on keeping the pace like this, slow and clear. This will help the communication and everybody to be able to catch the essential message.

The week 2 feedback is open , and you are welcome to send your feelings and remarks using the Feedback facility.

Warm regards, instructors

Thanks for the heads-ups; for sure these past two weeks went well and we thank the whole team for that. Now I am about to upload a weather event that I found interesting to share but I only can download an image, not an animation! It requires login credentials to download an animation. I hope in the future we will all be provided with such privileges
Cheers

Hi, Serge,
basically, you should be able to upload animations just as well as images. I was testing this as a guest on the Add Weather Event. Altogether, 11 various uploads are allowed (see attachment). For my MP4 video upload, I clicked at "Upload" and managed to upload the mp4 without trouble.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks Vesa;
Though ploading is possible but to get an animation of what to upload is where I got stuck, on the EUMETSAT website you can go back to a specific time and see the animation but to download it as a file to be used on Padlet is impossible unless you have an account credited for downloads

Exactly. You can create a user account at eoportal.eumetsat.int and then use it for logging in the eumetview. In addition to being able to downloas and save your animations., you can also save your favourite views, when logged in.
