Co-authors needed!

Thank you again for the past week active posting! This week we may slow down the pace at forum a little, while we start putting together the actual outcome of this session - trainer's guide for better online event planning.

We have opened three new activities, which you will find on our site as usual. According to your interest and time constraints you can participate and be a co-author in one, two or all three of them.

These three topics are closely related to past week discussions. We will write collaboratively three chapters for Trainer's Guide :

- Emergency Checklist

- Spot the Difference - The choice between Synchronous and Asynchronous Session

- Anyone There? - Choose the right tools

We will use Wikis !

strip

  • Use the colourful subscribe buttons to choose your group(s), preferably as soon as possible.
  • Use the forum you subscribed to for communicating with your fellow group members.
  • Use the Wikispaces to fill in the blanks, and add more content as you see fit.

We expect to publish intermediate results on Friday 19 October. In the meantime we will provide you with some helpful resources.

Re: Week 2. Collaborative Writing

par Maja Kuna,

Hi Izolda,

We have divided topics into 3 'chapters' and each of them has  dedicated forum and wiki. As we would like to know, who has intention to contribute, we ask you to subscribe. On the front page you will find subscribe buttons like the one below:

What does subscription mean?

  • We know that we can count on your contribution, or at least that you are interested to receive news on particular topic.
  • You may use the forum to communicate with other people who are also subscribed.
  • You may use the dedicated to this topic wiki.
  • Your name appears on the subscribed people list.

Why forum and wiki?

We would like to give you a dedicated space to discuss your ideas with the group interested in the same topic. There is no obligation to use it though. The main workspace is a wiki, which looks for example like this:

Here is a link to the Emergency Checklist Workspace, which you may find also on the front page:

https://classroom.eumetsat.int/mod/lti/view.php?id=4431

We have inserted already some of your ideas, so the pages are not blank :)

We like when you ask, so please do if something is unclear. Or go ahead and explore the 'Anybody there???' section. There are more instructions in forums and wikis themselves.
