Meteosat Third Generation (Lesson)

Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) is EUMETSAT's highly innovative satellite system for Europe and Africa, supporting meteorological and related environmental services, including improved forecasts from minutes to hours ahead (‘nowcasting’). 

Data from these satellites will also contribute to complex computer weather models (numerical weather prediction), air quality monitoring and climate surveillance.
