Dear all,

year 2024 edition of RA-I Basic Satellite Imagery Interpretation is ending today. We would like to thank all of you who took part in this three week learning period, hoping that you have found it useful for your knowledge and satellite skills. Whether you are an early career professional or already an expert level satellite data user, there is always something exciting in seeing our planet from space, and in seeing the value of satellite information.

If you are still ongoing with completing your final activities, please do proceed. We allow 7 days from now to end everything. There will be no extension to this date-so if you want to get the certificate, please make sure to complete all required tasks by 1 June latest.

The Final Quiz has been attempted already by many, and we see many also are still in progress with it. Remember to save and Finish your Quiz to have it recorded. There are some stunningly good Quiz results, even above 13 points out of maximum 15! Congratulations.

We hope to come up with more activities in the near future: monthly Africa Regional Focus Group (AFRG) weather briefings are in preparation. You can read more about African satellite events from https://asmet.africa. We also will inform about them in AFRG whatsapp group.

I declare the 2024 RA-I Basic Satellite Imagery Interpretation course closed.

Best regards to all,

Vesa
